Located in "the Heart of Dixie", the Southern state of Alabama has a rich history dating back to the Civil War. Alabama is known for its lush gardens, Magnolia trees, grand old historic homes, and southern hospitality. Alabama has a population of over 4,500,000 and is adjacent to Mississippi, Georgia and Florida. Montgomery is the capital of Alabama and was the first capital of the Confederacy.
